Should falsifier RORY EMERALD apologize to the Shaolin kung fu monks for lying about a Japanese ninja affront?

lampclockorange,

You would not take "China's word" for it. Define whose words are "China's word". Your label does not even make sense. But you would believe the Internet poster who posted the rumor with no identity or source to back up his claims? Looks like you are not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Have you EVEN read the original story? I doubt it. You probably get your news from the Associated Press or Reuters, which have proven to be untrustworthy everytime they report a China-related story. I have better reasons not to trust their lot.

The actual details of the story originally circulated sounded really like an excerpt from one of the many wuxia movies that have the ninja vs. shaolin theme. Do you know what wuxia movies are? It does not sound like you are familiar with them. Otherwise, a bell would have gone off in your head.

Neither do you sound like you know anything about how the Shaolin Temple is run either. Even if a challenge from an outsider were delivered to the Shaolin Temple, the monks are not allowed to act without a lengthy process of approval. This includes approval from the head monk of the entire temple who by the way was traveling abroad at the time this ALLEGED incident transpired. Then, if the head shaolin master approves, it will need to go through government approval. No fight could have taken place in the time frame that was alleged. Not even close. The Shaolin masters have made clear that nothing in the rumor actually occurred. Even if the govt. lies, those shaolin monks have strict codes forbidding them to lie. They would have just stayed silent if there were no choice.

For your response to be intelligent, you actually needed to have some grasp of the subject here. But you just sounded like an ignorant dummy whose strings are pulled by the media feeding you.

Oh and before you accuse me of working for the Chinese govt., let me tell you that I haven't even lived in China most of my life, and certainly I have nothing to do with the govt. But I am someone who likes to broaden my horizon and try to learn new things that are not spoon-fed to me, unlike you.

Pick up some books. Go to the source. Learn a few things about the topics you want to comment on.

what's to apologize about? Do you have proof he lied? I can't just take your word for it. I've read lots of stories of Chinese accusing Japanese of something and with even slight research, China usually loses the argument badly
Reply:I do not think that he was lying, I think that his words were taken out of context. But to answer your question, yes, I think that he should apologize for the misunderstanding, because Rory is a beloved man in the Far East, and clearing up this misunderstanding will ensure that he remains so!

Excellent Question!!
