I'm pretty new on mortal kombat shaolin monks, the last time a played mortal kombat was like 5 years ago and i remember that scorpio, sub zero and every one had its own powers, do you know how is in this version of mortal kombat, if is the same how can i know the powers of each one (FOR PS2)

Shaolin Monks is a bit different from the others as it is more rpg'ish. Each character still has their own fighting styles and I would suggest gamefaqs.com as a great place to find info on each character and their special abilities. This game is different also in the fact that in order to 100% complete the game and get every hidden item...you have to play through it in 2 player because certain things require 2 people to unlock.

I discovered MK all over again by getting MKSM!
Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Baraka, Reptile, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage as playable characters and they basically get all of their original powers and some added new ones but there is a secret area in the Living Forset that you can access to complete like five tasks for Smoke (if you can remember him) and after completing all five, you WILL unlock the opportunity to play the original MK2! That WILL help you remember a whole lot of MK like it did me!!! Have fun and i hope this was some info to you!?:D
Reply:Yeah, I agree with these 2 guys. It is RPG'ish and it definitely lets you relive the classic moments only in 3D! You get to see all the levels from Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. After all that's the time setting for the story of MKSM. And it has a pretty interesting story line as you go through the levels starting off in MK 1's stages and eventually making your way to MK2 where you fight yours truly...
