The reason i ask this question is that all fully practicing Shaolin Monks seem to be in good health even up until 80s 90s which i beleive is because of their diet and lifestyle, when i say fully practicing Shaolin Monk i mean one that has been practicing from an early age up until death in the monesty, I know this is a pretty random question and dont really expect a yes or no answer but am interested in what people think as I believe western culture can still learn a lot from these people.
Has a fully practicing Shaolin monk ever died of cancer.?
Good question, and it may be a good topic for a survey or research.
History has shown how Tai Chi Chuan gained popular support,
surpassing all other forms of combat and health exercises. It was
in the past and still today regarded as the chief preventer of chronic illnesses, including cancer, in China.
Reply:I doubt they would die of cancer, they are the most healthy people on the planet. they have the right diet, plenty of air and oxygen and exercise and a peace about them...They faith and way of life is very healthy they have no stress or unforgivness . Report It
Reply:come to india - i will show you ascetics who dont have any diseases up to 90

I'm sorry, it seems that shaolin monks die of cancer like any other human
are there any details? maybe he went for the chemo option and that killed him. if it doesn't cure you, it makes certain you die faster than from the cancer itself. or it could be his diet, chinese soil is nowadays polluted and full of toxins afterall. and shaolin monks do eat a whole lot of white rice, which they surely burn off, but still aren't the most healthy of foods. and even if 1 monk died, i'd love to see some study and statistics to show if there indeed are lesser percentage. at the moment i assume they are less likely to die of cancer than others, so much is health promoting things involved in their lifestyle.
