Shaolin monks, have we seen it all?

Are there still hidden techniques in the Northern and Southern Chinese temple that have not been shown to outsiders or was all lost when the temple last burned down in the early 1900s.

That's what they say! I'm sure theirs A FEW moves we don't know about! But It's all a lie to get us to believe they are masters of Kung Fu! Trust me there no better then anyone who trains hard! Also it's not that like they train for hardcore self defense! They will never be fighters! If they knew then whats the point! They won't ever use it! It's probably mostly stand up art! They also need to change their style to date with fighting!
Reply:I think that there is still unknown techniques but alot of them are outdated and will not work today, remember they are still using techniques that are hundreds of years old and these techniques dont get tested against anybody but fellow monks, believe me i am not knocking shaolin kung fu, I think it still has some great qualities but some of it seems a little old fashion.
Reply:i have heard that temple boxing died along time ago the modern version of temple boxing is actually a re-creation and not the original stuff





i have also heard that ther is one guy (he may be dead now he was old) that taught the original system when they first recreated it i know it still wasnt the original stuff but it was the first of the new if that makes sense





if you want a cool crazy MA system there is one from taiwan (excuse my spelling) that involves an iron dummy like the wooden one that is common to lots of chinese ma but made of iron! if you want something even more different that a rare chinese ma look up viking martial arts there is one called glima its a type of wrestling
Reply:There are many techniques to both systems..However to have any Abbot to show them to you is almost impossible...A true Monk has a very deep spiritual process they undergo..They dedicate their lives to this belief...If you want to learn them you will have to learn how to heal before you learn to kill...There were many renegades from the temples because they could not follow that path...If you desire to know this...Travel to China and find a temple and ask to join..BUT I MUST WARN YOU!!!!..DEDICATION IS THE KEY!!!
